Dinner and show in Madrid: flamenco, cabaret, immersive shows and Dinner and Dance

A visitor's guide to dinner and a show in Madrid: flamenco tablaos, cabaret, immersive productions and restaurants where you dine first and dance after.

Published 1 September 2026 · Panthera Madrid

Madrid's dinner shows fall into four main types: flamenco tablaos (Corral de la Morería, Café de Chinitas), cabaret (Gula Gula), immersive productions (WAH, at IFEMA) and dinner and dance, such as Panthera in Chamberí, where the room becomes a club at midnight. The right choice depends on whether you want to watch a show or be part of the party.

This guide is written mainly for first-time visitors to Madrid who want a night that is more than just dinner. In January 2026, Time Out published its list of the city's best dinner shows, featuring Panthera alongside names such as Pabblo, WAH and SLVJ. It is a good place to start.

Flamenco with dinner

If you are only going to see one show in Madrid, many visitors choose flamenco. Corral de la Morería, on Calle de la Morería 17 in the old Habsburg quarter, is a tablao dating from 1956 and the only one in the world with a Michelin star, held by its Gastronómico restaurant since 2018. Café de Chinitas, on Calle de Torija 7 near Ópera, is a restaurant-tablao opened in 1970 inside an 18th-century palace. At both, you have dinner and watch the show from your table.

When you book, check each tablao's website for show times and arrive early enough to eat before it starts. It is more about watching than joining in, which is exactly why it suits a first night in the city: you leave having seen something that is unmistakably Madrid.

Cabaret and immersive shows

For a more light-hearted night, Gula Gula, on Calle de Preciados 46 (inside Restaurante Topolino), pairs a buffet dinner with a drag show, comedy and cabaret on Fridays and Saturdays, and is a favourite for hen parties and group birthdays. At the other end of the scale is WAH Madrid at IFEMA: an immersive Las Vegas or Broadway-style show with 12 food stations, where dinner, show and party last around four hours.

There are more options along these lines. Pabblo, on Plaza Pablo Ruiz Picasso 1 (Azca), serves fine Mediterranean food with a band, singers and dancers from 21:00 and a DJ afterwards. And Florida Park, in Retiro park, occupies a 19th-century building with a dinner show of around three hours created by the Yllana theatre company and chef Iván Cerdeño.

Dinner and dance: eat, then stay on to dance

Dinner and dance is less well known outside Spain, and it is Panthera's format. Rather than a show with a beginning and an end, the night evolves: dinner from 20:00 on an international menu with Nikkei, Mediterranean and Latin influences, with live DJs and shows, and at 00:00 the room becomes a club. Tables turn into private celebration areas and the resident DJ takes over until closing. We explain it in detail in what happens at midnight at Panthera.

Panthera is on Calle de Miguel Ángel 21 in Chamberí, near Gregorio Marañón metro. The decor is black panthers and low lighting, and the crowd is very international, so nobody feels out of place. See what is on each week in what's on and compare formats in restaurants with atmosphere in Madrid.

Practical tips for visitors

  • Madrid dines late. Many dining rooms fill up from 21:00, and clubs do not get going until after midnight.
  • Book before you travel, especially for weekends or groups.
  • Check which nights the show runs. Some formats only operate on certain days, like Gula Gula on Fridays and Saturdays. Panthera is open Wednesday to Sunday.
  • Groups: at Panthera, parties of more than 10 get a personalised menu (eventos@galeriaserrano.com).
  • Allergies: always ask for the allergen menu; Panthera has one available.
