What to do in Chamberí at night: dinner, drinks and dancing at Panthera
Chamberí at night is more about long dinners than bar crawls. Here is how to go from dinner to cocktails to the dance floor at Panthera, on Miguel Ángel 21, and what else is nearby.

What is there to do in Chamberí at night? The most complete plan is dinner, a cocktail and a dance, all without changing venue. At Panthera, on Calle de Miguel Ángel 21 and close to Gregorio Marañón metro, dinner starts at 20:00 and at midnight the room switches to club mode, with a DJ and the tables turned into private celebration areas.
Plenty of people think of Chamberí as a daytime neighbourhood: food markets, terraces, a Sunday vermouth. At night it moves at a different pace, more long dinners than bar-hopping. That is precisely the idea behind Panthera, a Dinner and Dance restaurant where the meal doesn't end at half eleven with everyone heading off to find the next place. You stay put, order another round and let the music build. It is a different way of going out, and it suits groups who would rather not split up halfway through the night or queue outside a club at one in the morning.
Where Panthera is and how to get there
Panthera is at Calle de Miguel Ángel 21, 28010 Madrid, in the Chamberí district. Time Out places it in Almagro, the part of the neighbourhood closest to the Castellana. The nearest metro stop is Gregorio Marañón, and a taxi from the Salamanca district or central Chamberí is a short ride. If you are coming as a group and someone is running late, sending them the location from the contact page saves a lot of phone calls.

A night at Panthera, step by step
- From 20:00. Arrive and have a first drink. A good moment for a signature cocktail while you decide what to share.
- Dinner. An international menu with Nikkei, Mediterranean and Latin influences: raw dishes, nigiri, rolls and chargrilled mains, all made for the middle of the table.
- After dinner. Low lighting, black panthers in the decor and a very international crowd. The music takes centre stage, with live DJs and shows.
- At 00:00. The tables become private celebration areas: this is the Bottle Club.
- Until closing. Club mode with a resident DJ and reactive lighting until 02:30, 03:00 or 03:30, depending on the day.

What to eat before you dance
The menu is built for sharing, so order a spread and go in rounds. Start with something fresh from the raw section, such as the sea bass tiradito with yellow chilli tiger's milk or the red prawn aguachile with avocado and jalapeño. Then a couple of nigiri (red prawn with its grilled head, or scallop with melted cheese) and a roll for the table. If someone wants something heartier, the 20-day dry-aged Discarlux entrecôte or the aged ribeye smash burger will see you through a long night.
For dessert, the grilled torrija with yuzu ice cream and salted soy caramel is a nice way to finish before moving on to cocktails. The full list is on our menu, and there is an annotated selection in our guide to what to order at Panthera.
Other ideas in and around Chamberí
If you fancy starting somewhere else, or moving on afterwards, there are options nearby. In Chamberí itself, Javier Bonet's Sala de Despiece has been on Calle de Alonso Cano 28 since 2024, applying the look of a butcher's cutting room to produce-led cooking.
If you are after a full night of dinner, drinks and a club, it is all laid out in our Madrid night-out plan with dinner and drinks.
